Philips 4GB Voice Tracer 5000 Digital Recorder

The Philips 4GB Voice Tracer 5000 Digital Recorder supports both stereo MP3 and stereo PCM (WAV) recording formats, which enables you to utilize a variety of bit-rates ranging from 8 kbps to 1411 kbps. The Voice Tracer has a built-in 4GB NAND Flash memory, a USB 2.0 port for high-speed data transfer, voice volume indicator, microSD card slot and ClearVoice sound enhancement. It also features a 3Mic System with three high-sensitivity, low-noise HQ Stereo microphones. Plus, there is a 1/8" (3.5mm) microphone input and a 1/8" (3.5mm) headphone output.

The compact Voice Tracer is also equipped with an FM stereo tuner that features 20 station presets. It supports AutoAdjust audio recording for automatic sound parameter setting. And, the ClearVoice sound enhancement enhances the quieter voices that are more difficult to hear. You can also initiate recordings by voice-activation. Plus, there's a calendar search function, an integrated fold-out stand and pre-recording function as well.

The recorder also has instant one-touch recording, which allows you to start a recording - even when the whole device is shut down - by simply holding down the record button for a moment, and then when the unit turns on it will instantly start recording. The Voice Tracer has an easy-to-read 1.5" backlit LCD screen as well, which improves menu navigation speed. There's also a keypad lock that protects your files when you're away from the recorder. The Voice Tracer even comes with Premium in-ear headphones and two AAA rechargeable NiMH batteries, which support up to 48 hours of recording in the LP mode.
