    Kingwin ADP-07U3 reviews

ADP-07U3 USB 3.1 Gen 1 to SATA Adapter for SSD & SATA Hard Disk Drives is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Speeds, Cheap Price I've tested this Kingwin adapter with my Samsung 840 Pro SSD. The 840 Pro is capable of reaching 520/MBps Read and Write speeds. When testing this Kingwin Adapter, I was able to get about 250/MBps Read and 225/MBps Writes. Not fully taking advantage of USB 3.0 speeds, but not bad at all from a $ adapter, and more than fine for any 2.5 HDD!It not being a full enclosure, it's great for someone looking to do data transfers from an old Hard Drive to a new one, or someone who deals with lots of different drives on the go and needs something small and portable, making a great addition to a mobile toolkit. I like that it came with a detachable USB 3.0 cable so that I could use the same cable for other things, but just be wary of that if you're someone who is prone to losing or misplacing things, as there are other adapters where the cable portion is permanently attached. There are definitely faster and more robust options out there (such as adapters/enclosures that support external power), but for the price, this is hard to beat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Adapter I used this product with a new Samsung SSD for duplicating the original C drive so I could just slip the new drive in and carry on. It worked perfectly to match my SATA 3 drive to USB 3 ports. I recommend this device if you have to do this job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You have one job I can't imagine how anyone who receives this could be disappointed. It either does it's job or it doesn't. You know what you sign up for when you buy it. It's just a matter of if you get what you sign up for...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed Does not work, Crashes the SSD every time I try to use it. You get what you pay for I suppose. Not worth the effort to return from NZ .
