I have a Ninja V and a Shinobi. I have had lots of different sunshades, but this one really gives me the isolation I need to monitor outside. It sits flat for travel (9 x 5.5). However, I have a cage on my Ninja and it fits great. The Shinobi bare it is a bit loose. SO if you have a cage from any manufacturer (I have a 8sin as ATOMOS wants too much), this is a no brainer. My only other complaint is if you are using a large battery you have to offset the strap and the strap is fixed sewn strap, not velcro. So while it is stronger and should last longer than a velcro version, you get what you get. AFTER YEARS of submitting reviews... I really wish BHPHOTO would let me win the sweepstakes!

This is for a monitor that is a bit larger, we do not recommedn it. You might want to look at something like this SmallRig Cage for SmallHD 501/502 Monitor which comes with a hood instead, BH #SM2177.

The Hoodman Sun Hood for TVLogic's 5.6" Camera Monitors is designed for the TVLogic VFM-056WP 5.6" Lightweight Compact Viewfinder Monitor (B&H # TVVFM056WP) only. It has not been designed or tested for the SmallHD CINE 5 Touchscreen On-Camera Monitor (B&H # SM160526).
The SmallHD Sun Hood for CINE 5/INDIE 5 (B&H # SM171232) is made of the CINE 5 monitor.
