    Benro A2573F reviews

A2573FS6 S6 Video Head and AL Flip Lock Legs Kit is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality, low price This tripod is great for traveling and even supports a little extra weight when necessary. You would be hard pressed to find a more affordable tripod that is this light and compact, yet has a fairly robust head and almost every desirable feature to go with it (adjustable head, rings for tie-downs, 2 levels + a light, counterbalance, drag control on tilt, etc). Like many have said before, the only thing left desired is a drag control for panning, but the pan on this guy is smooth enough for me. If you're a camera enthusiast of any kind with a low budget and no need for a broadcast rig on your tripod, this is the one for you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Grat tripod for the $$$ I've been using a Cartoni tripod for many years, indestructible, $2,000 worth, and also pretty heavy. I was not surprised that I felt a little hesitant at first with this tripod, but I love it. I'm very pleased with the video head, its weight and the bag. I'm 6' feet tall and fully extended I believe the tripod goes to 6'2'' or 6'3''. Tripod was also tested with adding a 16'' teleprompter with my Sony Z150 and it was very stable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice functionality. Mediocre quality. Love the leveling head, adjustable legs, bubble level with light and counterbalance options. Just wish the whole thing were sturdier. I've owned mine for about two years, and in that time, the pan fluid has leaked and caused the smoothness to suffer hugely. On top of that, the tilt drag knob broke clean off, and the flip locks need regular re-tightening. Finally, the head and especially the neck between the leveling bowl and the legs just aren't sturdy. When I've got a slider mounted between the head and the bowl, you can see the neck flex under fairly light pressure. Very frustrating. I've finally got the funds to upgrade, and I've already done so.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Did Not Work Out I got this mount for combination use as my mirrorless video tripod and a grab-and-go mount for a small(4.5 pounds, 14 inches long)refractor. No combination of preset and adjustable tension would keep the rig from slipping short of locking it down...which sorta defeats the purpose of a fluid head. Sometimes it would hold for a period of time, then drop on it's own I presume the head was defective, but I did not want to go the route of trying another. Thus it was returned and I am happy with another brand. Personally, I was disappointed because the tripod by all appearances is quite well built. If you get one, be sure you get it from a quality vendor like B&H in case you have a problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid setup Got this for my GH1, and it is super solid. The knob for the quick release DOES hit the bottom of the camera BUT if you turn the knob only about a half turn, which is adequate to remove the QR plate, you should not have ANY problems of camera striking the knob. The legs are AWESOME and I have no qualms with them. The head was defected and made a weird sound at the top of the tilt, and it also seemed to have a weak tilt drag. B and H has been extremely nice in exchanging the head of my tripod, which is in the mail as I type this. I highly recomend the tripod kit, it's a great value. There is a catch, however: TEST IT BEFORE YOU TRUST IT. BH has amazing customer service if anything has issues.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great legs. Head could be better This is a great value tripod. Its light weight yet strong and sturdy. The head is great for tilting, not so great for panning. The panning sticks easily and isn't dampened in any way. Its kinda either on or off. I actually rarely use the head. The best thing about the legs is that you have a leveler at the top with a ratchet lever. I take the head off and put a cinevate duzi directly on the legs (which I can still level if the ground is uneven). I then mount a velbon head on top (which are amazing value by the way) for a super versatile, lightwieght, tripod/slider combo. Perfect for smaller set ups like a GH4 and A7s. I still keep the head for other stuff, but the not-so-great panning means its not my go-to. If you can buy the legs separately just get those.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth and well made After much research online for a small fluid head tripod to handle my DSLR and slider I decided on this Benro system. It is smooth as silk on pan and tilt, and the adjustable counterbalance is great. I can't wait until Benro comes out with the Benro S7 fluid head with adjustable pan friction. Until then I think this is one of the best budget fluid heads your money can buy. Although the sticks have a 3/8 flat top, it has an adjustable tilt ball assembly on top that act like a regular ball head tripod. The aluminum tripod legs are well made, easily adjust height and the locks really lock.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great functionality, poor durability I mainly use this tripod for wedding videography, commonly with a slider mounted between the ball head and fluid head. The tripod is light and sturdy enough for this (I'm using a Sony A7s plus cinevate Duzi) and the ball head makes it quick and easy to level the shot. However, over the 18 months I've owned the tripod its just fallen apart! First of all the flip locks need tightening after every shoot. Sometimes even in the middle of a shoot which is very frustrating. The fluid head has always been terrible at panning and a couple of months ago just stopped working completely (I'm not sure if some of the fluid/lubricant had leaked out) and more recently the shaft that elevates above the tripod legs became stuck fully extended. I'm really careful with my gear, although weddings are fairly punishing I suppose (constantly moving stuff around). I might try another one if I can get a good deal. Hoping mine was just a bad copy.
