This lens is compatible with full-frame sensors and can also be used on APS-C-sized sensors, where the 35mm-equivalent focal length will be 52.5mm. The optical construction incorporates two high refractive index elements and one aspherical element to reduce chromatic aberrations and distortion to produce sharper imagery. Additionally, a UMC coating has been applied to lens elements to minimize lens flare and ghosting for more contrast-rich images.

Wide-angle prime lens is well-suited to use in a broad variety of shooting situations.
Fast T1.5 maximum aperture benefits working in low-light conditions and provides greater control over focus placement for shallow depth of field applications.
Two high refractive index elements and one aspherical element reduce chromatic aberrations in order to produce greater sharpness and clarity.
UMC coating improves light transmission and suppresses lens flare and ghosting for more contrast-rich, color-neutral images.

question

I just bought this lens for my Sony A7II and it won't fit into the E-mount. Do I need to get an adapter?
Asked by: Anonymous
Richard is right. The only way it doesn't fit is if you have the A mount version. I use this lens on my FS5 with no problems at all.

question

will it work on the black magic cinema camera?
Asked by: Anonymous
I'm pretty sure the black magic cameras come with ef, pl, or mft lens mounts, so it depends on which you need. These lenses are for the Sony E-mount. Rokinon makes these lenses for other mounts.

question

Would this fit on the alpha 6000? I suppose so, want to be sure and would it be a good Idea because of the fast autofocus, since this lens is all manual. I want to produce high quality videos and I think this could work with the alpha 6000 if anyone has a better idea pls say so. Its mostly for film but sometimes for fast shootings like Interviews on the go.
Asked by: Anonymous
Of course it will fit, it's an E mount lens. This lens will not be able to use the autofocus of the a6000 by the way.

question

How does this compare to the $650 Rokinon 24mm t1.5 in terms of quality and sharpness?
Asked by: steven T.
This piece of glass is truly exceptional - especially for the price. I've used it in a few videos and have zero complaints. Sharpness and clarity are all there. It's a T1.5, so it performs quite well under low light (I recomend a variable ND filter if you plan to run it on a host without ND filters.) The brokeh image is very warm (I suppose you could say) and makes for great definition with DoF. I currently have no footage with this lens on my page, but if you do a search on YouTube I'm sure you could find something to aid you in your decision making.
