I misplaced my other one this is a replacement of that one. Good mic

decent microphone for price

I think this microphone is pretty good but I am not in love with it. I use it attached to a sony ICD recorder which is pretty sensitive. The mic picks up the closest person pretty well and doesn't produce too much noise if I have the settings right. The biggest problem I have with it is that it is not stereo, it records in mono. This is just a little frustrating on play back but I can change it in post. I just prefer to start in stereo in the first place. Overall, not bad for the price.

Will this work with a Cannon Rebel T7i?

Will this work with a Cannon Rebel T7i?
Asked by: Alexis
Hello. The mic would only come through in the left channel since you'd be plugging a MONO mic into a STEREO input. To have this wire direct into the camera, your best option would be to get a 3.5mm mono to mono cable extension and a 3.5mm mono to stereo adapter.

question

Good afternoonI have an old Sony-urx-p1-utx-b1 kit, but has lost my lavalier.Does this Azden lavalier work on my kit?RegardsJonny PedersenThe Steadicam Operaotr

It is very unlikely the Azden EX-503 will work with your UTX-B1. The connector on the Sony transmitter is a locking 3.5mm screw connector. The Azden is not, also the wiring may be different. The lav normally used as a replacement would be the Sony ECM-77BMP.

It is powered from the recording devices power. Either from being plugged in, or from a battery.

question

Thanks for answering previous question. At Azden I see Azden EX-503 | Azden EX-503L | Azden EX-503H. I dint understand the potential difference among them in terms of sound quality. How to choose among these three.I want you use it for interview and documentary work with zoom H1, which one should i look for? How is the ambient sound cancellation?
Asked by: kashif a.
My 14 yo has been using this item for interviews and is very happy. He has used it for school, small buisness, and religious events. There is some ambient noise when background noise is high but for routine interviews and recording speeches it works well. Value for cost is good.
