Four stars due to price even though B&H was under the suggested retail the price it is too high. I ordered two other after market units via another vender prior to throwing in the towel and ordering the Gitzo version. The manufactured quality and prices of the alternative units were excellent but one did not fit correctly (Desmond) in the new series of Gitzo and the other (Leofoto) did not work well with a 75mm half ball due to the length of the skirt. This adapter drops completely into the opening with full contact in the collar. The safely catch works as designed. The finish is good and i get smooth action with a 12 degree tilt on my half balls (FLM and Benro).

I needed a 75 mm series 3 bowl head for my new Sachtler Ace XL fluid head. The bowl head dropped in and locks up tightly with no movement. The Sachtler fluid head also dropped right in. Another well made product from Gitzo.

What is the different between Gitzo GS3321V75 and GS3322V100? Does the Gitzo GSLVLS fit on them?
The difference is the bowl mount sizes, GS3321V75 is 75mm, and GS3322V100 is 100mm. The Gitzo GSLVLS is designed for 75mm bowl mounts, GS3321V75 is the correct bowl adapter for the leveling flat base adapter.

I would like to know if this half bowl is equipped with the safety latch feature found on the current systematic tripods. I own a similar bowl by Sunwayfoto and the missing latch results in me not being able to fix the Head strong enough to prevent it from moving when equipped with a head when locked?
Hi Manfred, I'll try to answer your question. Although English isn't my first language, which will complicate things a bit. The tripod itself has a small spring operated safety catch. At least my Ocean Systematic (Gitzo GT3542LOS Ocean Systematic (6xCarbon Serie 3). Normally the round plate with holes in it that fits on top slides into place snugly and won't move. The half bowl itself has no safety latch, and works the same way. It just pushes the safety latch on the tripod inwards. I haven't had any problems with the half bow moving. The only problem I encountered is the videohead going off centre when I make a pan ore tilt-up. But that only happens when I haven't tightened the video head enough in combination with over tightening the friction controls for tilting or panning. In short; when I mess up! When you do things right you can use considerable force without any problems. I hope this helps (and is understandable.)
