Tivoli Model One Overview

The Tivoli Model One Bluetooth AM/FM Radio in cherry/silver pairs new-age technology with old-school functionality. It features a simple interface, room-filling sound, and Bluetooth connectivity for Bluetooth-enabled devices.

After turning the radio on, the sensitive AM/FM tuner handles station identification and pours music through the 3" full-range long-throw drivers in the speaker. Clear hi-fidelity sound, just like desktop AM/FM radios of the past.

The Model One also allows you to stream audio wirelessly through the integrated Bluetooth receiver, which uses advanced A2DP technology for high-quality wireless audio. The Model One also features FHSS (Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum), usually lauded by RC model car enthusiasts as the best technology to hit the market in the last five years. It narrows the frequency across the spectrum in short "hops" instead of a single signal, intercepting and eliminating interference from other devices on the 2.4 GHz band. What you get is an almost interference-free Bluetooth experience.

Along with FHSS, this model features an auxiliary input and stereo headphone output just in case you want to go old-school with your peripherals, like a connected iPod or coil-connected large-earpad headphones. It also includes a Record output so you can attach recording devices (like a cassette deck) and get back into creating mix tapes for yourself. The standard 30' reception range for Bluetooth and device pairing functionality is present here as well.

A simple AM/FM radio with technological muscle is what makes the Tivoli Model One Bluetooth AM/FM radio a must-have for dorm rooms, kitchens, or anywhere you want clear, connected sound.

New-Age Technology
With the addition of Bluetooth wireless technology, when you're not listening to the world-famous analog AM/FM tuner, you can listen to music stored on your Bluetooth wireless technology-enabled device. You'll hear your music through the Model One BT thanks to Bluetooth wireless technology's advanced A2DP profile, combined with the Model One BT's trademark equalization.
Old-School Functionality
You won't have to dig out an audio cable for your enabled device every time you want to listen to your music through the Model One BT. But don't worry, the Auxiliary input is still onboard, along with the Record and Headphone outputs, so you can continue to connect those "old-fashioned" wired devices.

Terrible station drift. AM is useless. Can no longer pick up Bloomberg or any other station on AM apart from NPR and even then can hear hear other channels in the background. Radio being returned

Super stylish -- suits my slightly retro dcor very well. Like the aux connection for my old school iPod and my even older school CD walkman. The 5:1 tuner ratio is fantastic, too -- I was able to dial in a station on this thing that no other FM radio could pick up with just the built-in antenna. Satisfied with the frequency response -- definitely not as tinny as my cheap-o portable radios. Puts out a decent volume without little distortion. Overall, very impressed with the functionality of this little beauty.

I wanted a good table radio and searched around. After reading many positive reviews about this model, including a very robust review from the B&H salesman, I decided to purchase this one. I have to say that for a small radio it delivers a big sound with a lot of bass. Excellent tuning, as it locks on to each station with the supplied antenna wire. I even receive my favorite FM jazz station from New Jersey, which I wasn't able to do with other radios. My only complaint would be that I think it needs a little more treble, but friends that have heard it really like it the way that it is. All in all, a very good purchase.

I live in an area which can be challenging to reception, but the Tivoli does well. I prefer to listen to Apple Music through the Tivoli over by Bose Revolve.

I love my Tivoli Model One Radio. I can get the radio stations that I did not get before. Also it is plain and simple as I do not care for any wireless stuff. The sound is great too !

We use this for NPR in the kitchen. Reception is just ok. Even bought an external antenna hoping to improve the reception with little change. Easy to pair. Otherwise works as advertised.

not easy to tune

I wish the tuner was digital and had presets. Otherwise I think the reception is quite good, the bluetooth works well and the radio is compact.

My model 1 has 12vdc port, was that common on the first ones? Also the cabinet is BLK/ SLV, doesn't appear to be wood? Excellent radio, clear! Garage sale, 8.00 love it!
Asked by: Matt
The furniture-grade, handmade wood cabinet is stunning in appearance but also performs double duty working as an acoustically inert housing unit. It is Beige / Walnut. The original models had hard wired AC line cords.
