OWC Elite Pro Overview

The 2TB Mercury Elite Pro External Hard Drive from Other World Computing features a compact and shock-resistant design with a 3-year limited warranty to ensure it stays functional and keeps your data safe. Inside its enclosure is a 3.5" SATA hard drive with a rotational speed of 7200 rpm, transfer rates of up to 300 MB/s, and a capacity of 2TB, so you'll have plenty of space to save your favorite music, photos, and movies.

The Mercury Elite Pro contains a USB 3.2 Gen 1 (3.1 Gen 1/3.0) port (which is also backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1), an eSATA port, and two 9-pin FireWire 800 ports (backwards compatible with FireWire 400 using an optional adapter). Along with a USB-B to USB-A cable, the Mercury Elite Pro also comes with Firewire 1394B 9-Pin to 9-Pin and eSATA cables.

Please note, this hard drive is not compatible with the NewerTech MAXPower RAID mini-SAS 6G-2e eSATA card.

High Performance
The Mercury Elite Pro houses the JMicron JMS562 and JMicron JMB355 USB/FireWire/eSATA chipset, which works in conjunction with the 7200rpm drive rotational speed of the installed hard drive to deliver a fast data transfer rate. The Mercury Elite Pro boasts a maximum read speed of 300 MB/s.

High Portability
The compact and shock-resistant design ensures safe portability. In addition, the Mercury Elite Pro offers one USB 3.0 port (backward compatible with USB 2.0/1.1), two FireWire 800 (1394B) ports, and one eSATA port for easy plug-and-play on virtually any system. Even the cables are included.
