The triple pack of EyeShields Birders Eyecups from Field Optics Research includes two sets of angled rubber eyecups for binoculars and one eyecup for spotting scopes. The angled shape of the EyeShields enhances the viewing experience with your optics by blocking stray peripheral light that can create glare on the lens surface of the ocular. The flexible rubber material cradles the sides of the observer's face, adding comfort and shielding their eyes from wind, snow, dust, and rain.

Triple Pack Includes
  • One pair of standard EyeShields for 1.45 to 1.75 inch eyepiece diameters
  • One pair of compact EyeShields for 1.10 to 1.46 inch eyepiece diameters
  • One EyeShield for for 1.45 to 1.75 inch spotting scope eyepiece diameters

EyeShields Birders Eyecups (Triple Pack) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great value, and a nice upgrade over some stock eyecups I bought this set to fit over a pair of decloaked Celestron 15 Luminous eyepiece I wanted, the smaller set fit perfectly over the 15mm eyepieces, and. As a bonus the larger eyecups also fit the decloaked 23mm Luminous and with a bit of struggle, they also fit my Celestron 15x70 binoculars. The eyecups are very comfortable and help with properly centering the eye. Fitted to the 15mm Luminos in a binoviewer the eyecups provide distraction free, immersive viewing. The only thing that would make these better is if they could also fold down for storage, but for the price the value is outstanding.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works as intended Blocks out all light. A few enhancements can be made, however. - Steiners have this feature built-in and it uses a swivel so that you can easily rotate the covers to the correct angle. Because you'll be rotating it every time you use it (eye cups), you may have to remove and reattach every time as the flap could get in the way of resting the eye cups. - The regular and spotting scope sizes were indistinguishable. I even measured various dimensions with a ruler and they were the same. Etched labels for size would be nice to avoid confusion. Side note: use of these prevents the use of lens covers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More relaxed view I have used these on Leica Ultravids and Zeiss Classic (the rubber clad model from the early 90s). I could not fit the scope version on my Swarovski eyepiece. The high end eyepieces of today are much too wide to fit. Even if it had fit, I like to vary which eye I use on my scope so I don't think I would have used it anyway. For binoculars, these are great. It removes side light, allowing my pupils to dialate as much as only the light through the binoculars allow. This is especially useful when standing in the light but looking into a darker area. The rubber pieces are easy to install. They fold down easily to allow a rain guard to fit tightly for transport. The fit is better on my Leicas with screw up eye cups than my Zeiss with fold down eye cups. Both work but the fit with Leica shields all light. A downside is that fog builds up more easily with eye cups up and eyeshields in place. Not even the high tech coatings of the Leica can help there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy these again The smallest set fit a compact bino with a 1 1/4 O.D. The larger set fit my 8x42 bino's with a 1 3/4 O.D. The third (solo eye cup) is the same size as the larger set, no difference, just a single which fit my Meade Series 4000 8mm - 24mm telescope eyepiece. With all said, they could be stretched a tad larger if needed.
