D-Tap Regulator Cable for Select Nikon Cameras is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lifesaver I use this to power my D800 when shooting video, particularly on the Steadicam. I have four Nikon EN-EL15 batteries, but they charge slowly and lack the capacity to run the D800 for long periods of time. Not reassuring for a long day on the set. This adapter appears well made, though it it plastic and it puts the battery door of the Nikon at some risk, as it hangs open when you're using the adapter. The cable is a perfect length for Steadicam, and I can see is being adequate for use on a tripod or dolly as well - about the same as the old XLR cables we used to power film cameras sometime in prehistory. I would suggest this for anyone who already has batteries with the correct tap and needs to keep their camera running for extended periods of time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simplified my power supply issues It's great not having to swap batteries several times a day. Tapping into one battery for the camera and any attached devices makes for a more efficient shoot.
