The D-Lux 6 is a compact point-and-shoot featuring a 10.1MP 1/1.7" CMOS sensor to enable shooting up to 11 fps, full HD 1080p movie recording at 60 fps, and notable low-light sensitivity to ISO 12800. Complementing the imaging assets is a built-in Leica DC Vario-Summilux 24-90mm f/1.4-2.3 lens (35mm equivalent), which incorporates five aspherical elements, with nine aspherical surfaces, into its optical design to reduce chromatic aberrations and maintain overall sharpness throughout the zoom range. A 3.0" 920k-dot LCD monitor is available for image monitoring, playback, and menu navigation and a hot shoe is also integrated into the camera's design to permit the use of an optional external flash or accessory electronic viewfinder.
