Olympus CBG-8 overview

  • 1Description

The beige CBG-8 Casual Camera Bag from Olympus is a bag designed for everyday use by photographers or anyone who wants a reliable, multi-functional bag. It can be used as a shoulder or hand bag but can also be used tote-style as a general-purpose carry-all.

With its removable interior dividers, you can sculpt the insides to accommodate whatever gear you carry on a given day. It's useful for carrying compact camera systems but also a good choice for Olympus' PEN, OM-D and Stylus compact cameras. The inside is padded for extra protection and, best of all, it doesn't look like a traditional camera bag. The shoulder strap is removable, leaving you with the two top carry handles. The top can be folded over to make it look sealed, and you can carry it under your arm for security, but there are no snaps or buttons with which to close the bag.

Olympus CBG-8 reviews

CBG-8 Casual Camera Bag (Beige) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I absolutely lov this bag My husband resently bought me the Olympus OM-D 10 camera as an early bday/birth of our child gift since the two were supposed to be days apart. I was wanting a bag that was stylish and protective of our camera and lens. I also wanted something of the same brand. I came across this bag on the Olympus website. I then started my search in finding it near me, without success I came across B&H website and the bag...I ordered it immediately, in hopes I would get it before the birth of my baby. My son came three days early and the bag arrived the day after. When I got hope from the hospital I opened my bag and got it all set up for my camera. The camera and lens along with the battery charger and cord fit perfectly in the bag. It has an outside pocket that I put my phone in while using the bag as a cross body. It's light sleek and stylish. It doesn't look like a camera bag. I've received many complements. I definitely recommend this product to others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Form & Function I don't care for large bags, camera or otherwise, and I like this one very much. This bag isn't very large, yet it holds everything I usually carry, and it has room for extras. This bag can be folded down for compactness, or worn unfolded. It seems to resist dirt, it is lightweight, and packs flat for travel. I've had it a couple of years, and it still looks great. I was afraid the straps would pull out of the seams, but there are no signs of that. I use it to carry my EM-1 with a lens attached, plus one or two other lenses. It has a removable and adjustable organizer so items aren't in a jumble at the bottom. There is room for an slim wallet and other items, too. The large pocket on the outside is very useful during travel. The strap is about an inch wide and is surprisingly comfortable. It is a nice linen-like color that goes with summer clothes. I hope they make it in a darker color for other seasons. My pictures show it with the EM-1 mounted with the 12-40 f2.8, and the 75-300 (there's room to tuck a small prime or two around the 12-40 if need be), and folded with printer paper around it for scale.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish bag This bag doesn't look like a camera bag. Holds the camera & extra lens. I also carry my phone, keys & slim wallet, so I only need to carry one bag which is perfect. The material is thin but sturdy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful camera bag for women. First of all, it is very pretty, and this is important for girls, and it is also very functioning. It fits one Olympus E-M5 with a lens attached (PL 25mm), and two more lens (Panny 14mm and Oly 45mm). It also has room for extra batteries and extra SD cards, and my wallet and ipad mini. Because the bag is pretty tall, it also has room for an Oly FL-300r flash. The best thing about this bag was that no one can tell it is a camera bag if they don't look inside of my bag. I am planning to use it for my NY trip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best bag for the female photographer I love to carry this bag everywhere I go. Everyone thinks it's just a purse. It's so convenient just to carry that bag around with one camera and one lens maybe a flash.
