Hoya XHD2-67UV Overview

  • 1Description

The Hoya 67mm HD2 UV Filter is a general use, clear filter that helps to absorb ultraviolet light. No additional coloration or contrast is provided, allowing you to pair this filter with others.

The UV filter is also useful as a general protective filter to leave on lenses at all times. Filters help to reduce dust and moisture from reaching your lens element and provide additional protection in case of drops or situations where scratching could occur.

Hoya HD2 UV filters are multi-coated for reducing flare, ghosting, and reflections on the filter surface. As a result, a very high light transmission of 99.35% is possible, providing you with additional contrast and high color fidelity.

The HD2 filters are constructed from optical glass and feature a thin frame. They are backed by a lifetime limited warranty.

    Hoya XHD2-67UV Reviews

    67mm HD2 UV Filter is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hoya UV-Haze HD2 67mm filter. Being used as UV-Haze protective filter on one of my spotting scopes. (Much cheaper to replace if damaged then several hundred dollars to replace a front objective lens. Have compared several different brands & types: and to date have seen NO ill effect on image being observed. Reg. Hoya HD and HD2: I can see no difference comparing side by side on two of the same scopes? Only difference I can find is; Life time warranty on HD2 version & it's almost TWICE the price!!! Only time will tell if there's any real difference & if it's worth the extra expense for the HD2 version? Newer model Hoya filters are much easier to clean then older model's purchased only 2 or 3yrs. ago.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slick filter I bought this filter to put on my new Nikkor 70-200mm f4 lens. I have several Hoya Pro 1 Digital filters for some of my other lenses and they simply don't compare to this filter. Good protection and does not affect image quality one bit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Filter I typically use B+W on my lenses, but decided to try out the HD2 filter after some recommendations. I'm glad I did as I find the build quality equal to B+W, and the image quality slightly better. Haze and glare are cut down without any affect on color or sharpness.
