Profoto Softgrid Overview

This Profoto 50° Softgrid for 2.0 x 3.0' RFi Softbox is an ideal way to direct and control the light output of your Light Shaping Tool.

Collapsible, portable, and extremely lightweight, fabric grids have no supporting frame of their own. These grids hook-and-loop to all sides of the recessed front area to provide a controlled beam spread.

Once the job is complete, just detach and fold it down to a fraction of its size and store it in the included fabric bag.

Softboxes are more efficient when used with a grid. Unfortunately, there are no other options so here we are.

Typical of Profoto, high quality build and easy to work with. The shaping of light from the grid did exactly what I wanted it to and even surprised me. A must to get the full capability of the octa.

The Profoto RFi 50° Softgrid for 4' Octa (B&H# PRSGRO4) is a grid that is a separate purchase from the Profoto RFi Octa Softbox (4') (B&H# PRSBOR4) for which it was designed.

Is this compatible with the OCF II softbox?
Asked by: Carter
No, the Profoto 50° Softgrid for 3.0 x 4.0' RFi Softbox is only for the Profoto RFi 3.0 x 4.0' Softbox, BH # PRSBR34. If you are looking for a grid for the Profoto OCF Softbox (2 x 3'), BH # PROCFSB23, then you will need to get the Profoto Softgrid for OCF Softbox (2x3'), BH # PROCFG23.

question

Will this grid work with the older RF 2 x 3' Softbox?
Asked by: Anonymous
The RFi has about a 2 lip that allows the Velcro outer surface of the grid to attach to the lip of the RFi. I notice that the HR soft boxes do not have as deep of a lip but the grid looks very similar, it just sticks out along the edges a little. I would assume that if the RF has a lip around the edge with Velcro on it then the grid will be able to connect but you might contact Profoto to make sure.
