The Cinevate Shoulder Mount v3 is a shoulder pad and cheese-plate combination that mounts onto the 15mm rods of a camera rig, by means of a rod-clamp, to turn the rig into a shoulder rig. The top portion is a cheese plate, and it features numerous 1/4" and 3/8" threaded holes. The plate is shaped in proportion to Cinevate counterbalance weights, and these weights very neatly attach and stack on either one or both sides of the plate. The weights are sold separately.
The entire assembly is most effective for rigs with flip-out screens or external viewfinders, as the camera ends up to your side as opposed to directly in front of your eye. However, for rigs without one of these, Cinevate offers an optional Offset accessory that will place the camera at eye level. (Please see "Cinevate Shoulder Mount v3 with Offset".)
