Your original ieq45 weights may not move smoothly--mine actually bind--on this shaft extension. This shaft is a few thousandths larger in diameter than the original shaft that shipped with these mounts. This means the original weights my not move freely. These weights are equipped with compression rings to grip the shaft. The newer design weights with the brass binding screw move freely on this shaft. New design: un-plated stainless steel. Slightly larger diameter. Older weights may not work. Original design: chrome-plated steel. Both types of weights work. If you have a lathe, you can turn a few thousands off the newer bar and it should work with both types of weights.

Attaching guide-scope securely to telescope. This allowed me to add not only a guide-scope, but also a piggybacked camera to my 10 Newtonian. No complaints, great product

Extension bar as good as original counterweight bar on iEQ45 Pro. Fits and works as it was expected. I wish it was little shorter - some like 5 instead 9.5. Advantage of having extension bar is not to make your mount heavier by hanging more counterweights, but use more equipment hooked on your scope (payload of the mount is limited).

This extension bar allows me to add additional weight to the iEQ45 Pro mount to extend the weight distribution of my telescope setup and allow the use of a lower total weight as the counterbalance.
