Pulled an old Bravo 4100 out for printing, could not get anything to print except a few tiny streaks - replaced the inks, still some problems then it worked like new after replacing the printhead!

I bought this thinking the head was the problem on my little used Primera disc printer. As it turns out the ink had dried to the point of non-transmission, even though the ink indicator showed adequate supply. So heres the golden TIP from Primera: The ink indicators are measured by ink cartridge weight, and long periods of non-use can clog and dry the flow. So keep the unit on or at least cycle on and off once a week to keep the cartridges in good shape. As for the printer head, its good to have this as a backup.
