Nanuk 915 Overview

From Manufacturer

Ideal for professionals, hobbyists, and outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds, the graphite 915 Hard Case with Foam from Nanuk is made from a crushproof, dustproof, and waterproof lightweight NK-7 polypropylene resin. It protects and stores delicate medium-sized items like small laptops, tablets, cameras, electronics, drones, sample kits, tools, handguns, and equipment of all sorts. This case comes with a cubed foam insert that can be customized to best fit your gear. A convoluted foam insert for the lid ensures your delicate equipment won't shift out of place.

Its lid gasket is held fast with dual PowerClaw latches. These patented latches use compressive force to tightly clamp the case shut. These latches also have an integrated slide lock that prevents the case from opening accidentally. For additional security, there are two 0.3" padlock holes integrated into the case and lid. A molded-in bezel system allows the use of optional inserts to be installed quickly and easily without needing to modify your case. A built-in pressure relief valve regulates the internal pressure, keeping your gear and the case from getting crushed during air travel and allowing you to open the case without having to break a tough pressurized seal that may develop. Further design features include rustproof stainless steel hardware and a foldable soft-grip top handle.

Nanuk 915 Reviews

Does the job

I purchased this to hold a couple of fluid video heads and have zero complaints. The padding is more than enough and they sit comfortably.

Four and a half stars... a few tweaks to make it perfect.

Bought the Nanuk while it was on Dealzone. Love the build quality but there are a few little issues that could be worth considering if you are looking at a watertight case with foam inserts. I own both the Pelican equivalent of the Nanuk case I am discussing so, yes I am comparing the two. 1. The Nanuk case and the hinges are built solidly but, the hinges seemingly get hung up halfway upon opening and can be a bit cumbersome if you are using this for a weapons case or a camera/lens case as it causes the case to tip backward. 2. The foam inserts are pick-out foam but are just slightly too soft for cutting with a scalpel knife blade. You will not get a clean look like a predetermined foam insert but, it is a significant cost savings over spending $85 on a part-specific foam cutout. Pick out foam is worth it... 3. The locking mechanisms are a better design for the case over the Pelican as there is no possible way they will accidently open like my Pelican case does occasionally (gets caught on clothing). However, there is a double mechanism that requires you to hold the case while unlocking the pinch and release style locking latches. This can also turn quickly into a droppable situation for the contents. Overall, I like the Nanuk case for the durability but, it could be a five star case with just a few tweaks to the engineering. The case is definitely WORTH IT.

The partitions that come with the Nanuk 915 Hard Case with Padded Divider Insert (Black) are different lengths and removable. All are approximately 4 inches tall. The shorter partitions are around 4 inches tall. The long one is about 9 inches long. And it comes with 1 long divider and 4 short dividers.

question

Will the Nanuk 915 hold a Nikon D7200 with an 18-140 lens attached and two other lens along with space for some other accessories such as filters and maybe a light meter?
Asked by: Anonymous
It is a pretty small case. I would not suggest it for the Nikon D7200 with an 18-140 lens attached and two other lens along with space for some other accessories.
