question

The image you show for 4X5.65 looks like 4X4 since it is a square. Is 4X5.65 coming for sure if I order?
Asked by: Anonymous
I agree that the image looks square, but I can assure you the filter we will send you is 4x5.65 I cross referenced the Mfr# with Schneider to make sure.

How would this compare with the Tiffen Glimmerglass?
Asked by: William
I tested the glimmerglass 1, glimmerglass 3 and the Schneider 1/8th. The Schneider has a similar subtle effect but backlight glow in more obvious in the lightest Scheider 1/8th than the GG1 even. Not sure which numbers match but the GG1 had a slightly more obvious softness than the Schneider 1/8, which has a barely evident softness but does make backlights glow. Glimmerglass1 seems like just the good amount of softness but if you were to go with Schneider, start with the 1/4th

Is there much difference between this filter and the Tiffen Black Pro Mist filter? The Tiffen is $70 cheaper.
Asked by: Chris
The Schneider 77mm Hollywood Black Magic filter would have much higher quality glass and construction compared to a lower cost filter. The higher quality glass is why it has a clean glow as mentioned by another user.
