The Strobies LED Macro Ring Light from Interfit provides adjustable flash and continuous lighting, using LEDs and four AA batteries. It can be attached to any standard camera hot shoe as well as many lenses with 52-72mm filter threads, using the six included adapters.

With a ring light attached to your camera and lens, you can create very soft lighting with virtually no shadows. This ring light has a Guide No. of 46' (14m) in flash mode, with a color temperature of 5600K. You can select flash or continuous light mode using the slider on the rear of the control unit. Choose between "F" for flash, "L" for continuous lighting, and "Off" to power down the light. You'll also find a test fire button to ensure the flash function is ready, and a dial to dim the light from high to low output.

The ring ight is powered by four AA batteries, which should last up to three hours in continuous lighting mode. The light is attached to the control unit by a coiled cable, which is 1.8' long when relaxed, and up to 6.5' when stretched. Attaching the control unit and ring light is simple, and adjusting your light settings as you work is easy.

Will this lite work with my fuji XT-2? The Bolt VM160 was not compatible with the XT-2
Asked by: Paul C.
This light does not have HSS or TTL, so it will work with any camera with a flash hotshoe.

question

Is there no 77mm adapter? My portrait lens of choice is the Nikkor 70-200 f/2.8 lens, and it takes a 77mm filter.
Asked by: Eric H.
The largest adapter ring that is supplied with this light is 72mm. As others have mentioned, there are separate adapter rings you can purchase. I personally would not recommend this light for portraiture. Being a small LED light, it really isn't bright enough for that. This light was designed for macro photography where the subject is very close to the end of the lens.

question

does the ring on this product clear the lens? i previously bought another ring light and i can't use it unless im zoomed in to 50mm
Asked by: pam M.
Yes you can use it, since the adaptor rings attached to the lens where you screw it on, like one of the filters, then slide the ring light on to it

question

Will this work with the Tamron 90mm?

It comes with a series of filter rings to fit 52-72mm, so it looks like it won't fit your 90mm.

question

My Interfit Strobie has the light on all the time...even when I;m using flash. I have the switch set to f . iS this supposed to happen? Thanks
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes. And in fact this is one of the advantages of a LED Ring Light to the regular Ring Flash, the continuous light allows you to compose and focus with precision. You will not need na extra light source and you can preview the exact result, and be aware of reflections and amount of shadows. Yes, the ringlight gives you a shadow-free light, but you can add volume to your macro shots by covering part of the light source (from 1/3 to 2/3). For na electronic ring flash this can just be done blind, you will just have an idea of the result after you shoot. Actually, the LED ring light is a continuous light source, which makes it easier to composse the image and to combine with other sources. The Flash mode is a welcome feature so that you have a pulse of brighter light just when you need it, saving battery and not overheating the LEDs. I mean, the LEDs could not stand that full power for a long time. However, it is not as strong as an electronic flash can be, but even so it is no longer a problem to set a higher ISO in your digital camera to be able to use a smaller f-stop to get greater depth of field in your macro fotos.Have fun!
