Swift Clamp is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect I bought this clamp to help with a predicament I had with wildlife photography. How I carry long lenses for long hours (500/4's) in the bush without killing your back and body. I used this is conjunction with a Blackrapid Sport strap and I support my 500/4 from it. At first, I was a little skeptical that the combo would hold up, but the Acra clamp has proven amazing so far. I am very impressed by the strength of the quick release (it doesn't get hooked and releases accidentally). In fact, I had the 500/4 lens, monopod and camera attached to the clamp once, and the release mechanism got stuck in my belt loop pulling with over 15 lbs of force on the quick release. It help up perfect! I was impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Secure & Reliable I have been using the Acratech Swift Clamp for the last 2 years to securely carry my camera with long lenes. It easily attachs to arca-swiss plates with a positive lock. I use it with a Black Rapids strap and have relied on it for all day hikes, trip to Africa, etc. A positive feature of securing to your lens is it facilitates switching lens. I'm typically carrying my Canon 200-400 and when I want to switch to a macro or scenery lens the long lens stays firmly attached to me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Minor cost compared to camera it holds The Acratech Swift Clamp seemed expensive but when I compare the price to the cost of the equipment it carries, the overall cost of the Swift Clamp is minimal. I used this Swift Clamp in conjunction with the BlackRapid RS-7 Curve Camera Strap and the BlackRapid Tether Kit. The Swift Clamp attaches directly to my Camera Tripod Plate and allows you to quickly move the camera from the strap to the tripod without having to continually put on and take off the Tripod Plate. I looked at other clamps but the unique design of the Acratech Swift Clamp allows for the camera to hang comfortably at your side. After using the Swift Clamp daily for a week, along with the BlackRapid RS-7 Curve Strap and Tether Kit, I found that the whole system worked well for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid clamp Acratech makes some high quality photography accessories, i have one of their ball heads and it's a work of art. I needed a quick release clamp for my sling strap, and while there are others that are cheaper, this is the only one with a locking lever. I've been using it for a month now and it make life easy when transferring my rig to a tripod and back again. i highly recommend this clamp.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An expensive hunk of metal Despite my title, I cannot say anything bad about this clamp. I do feel the price is high, but the engineering is solid and the quick release mechanism is hard to find in any similar item. RRS has a similar clamp, but theirs requires you to screw a BR screw into the back. This one is effectively locked in, not just screwed in. The RRS uses only a tensioning screw. No QR lever. The RRS does cost half as much, and weighs less. But, this is (in my opinion) a better device.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good solution from a stellar company. Same quality as my other Acratech products. Works great with my Black Rapid RS-7 strap. The quick release clamp is a great feature but it's quite 'fiddly' for some reason. I have the Acratech quick release on my GP ballhead and it works flawlessly everytime. The QR clamp on this is a bit of a pain to get it locked (yes, I have tried adjusting it). That said, with time I amd sure I will just get used to it and it will see lots of use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Black Rapid + RRS solution This is a perfect solution and long awaited for those of us who have RRS ball heads and Arca-style tripod plates. I can now confidently carry around my camera and utilize my Black Rapid R-7 strap. The previous work arounds were not appealing to me but his is spot on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great but so expensive! I gave 5 stars for the product but in terms of value, it is worth maybe 3 stars. Unfortunately, there are no real alternatives to secure an expensive camera/lens with a Black Rapid type strap. This clamp does the job perfectly but at a very high cost.
