Kaiser diascop mini 2 Reviews
Doesn't live up to its ad as 2x lens
It's small and cool looking, but a couple little issues and one big one: -incandescent bulb has yellowish light so whites turn yellow, -brass contacts have some resistance so light flickers a bit as you hold slide down, and -the slide image is ABSOLUTELY NOT MAGNIFIED 2x! Maybe 1.2x at most. The picture in the ad shows the screen full of image, as if a slide would fill it, but in reality the image is only a little larger than the film, and you still see the entire frame. See photo I'm attaching and compare it with the image in the product ad. This is a big deficiency and false advertising!
Item was as advertised
A small slide viewer but of less usefulness than I had hoped. I have a bunch of slides I had taken years ago and hoped to be able to use the viewer to take some little photos for reference for some artwork. The viewer hardly magnifies at all and the bulb is too yellow to be of use. B&H sent my order promptly and their service was excellent so the 4 stars was for that - not the product itself.
