The Genustech PV Basic Matte Box Kit with Top Flag, Side Flags and Swing Away Bracket includes a PV Compact Clip-on Matte Boy, a top-mounted French flag with assembly, left and right side flags, a height extension bracket, a swing away bracket, nuns knickers and a 4x4.65" neutral density 0.6 filter from Tiffen. The matte box features two filter stages, one fixed and one 360° rotating, and the wide rayshade is suitable for both standard and wide-angle lenses.
French Flag and Side Flags
The top-mounted French flag and side flags help to maximize light control. The top flag can also be folded down to serve as a temporary lens cap. The flags are made of aluminum with a non-reflective, black finish.
Two Filter Stages
The front filter stage is fixed and the rear filter stage can be rotating 360°. The rotating stage features adjustable friction and audible clicks on every 90° rotation. Filter trays can be removed from the top or bottom. Two 4x4/4x5.65" filter trays are included.
Height Extension Bracket
The Height Extension Bracket is made of aluminum and designed to mount the matte box onto industry standard 15mm support rods. The height of the matte box can be adjusted via the central riser.
Swing Away Bracket
The swing away bracket works with the height extension bracket to mount the matte box onto 15mm rods, adding the "swing away" option. This configuration enables faster lens changes. The bracket features a magnetic catch and a lock knob, to ensure that the matte box is secure.
Nuns Knickers
Nuns Knickers is the industry nickname for a universal fit donut. The adapter ring and black lens shroud fit into the matte box's rear clamp and provides an elastic fit for different size lenses. This helps to block stray light and avoid glare.
Free ND Filter
The PV Basic Matte Box Kit also includes a free 4x5.65" neutral density 0.6 filter from Tiffen.
