Would it be possible to leave the ND gel attached ...
Would it be possible to leave the ND gel attached to the window for an extended period (for example, 1 year)? Would it stick for that long using the window cleaner solution attachment approach?
This ND has no adhesive.

How do you trim these to a large window ...
How do you trim these to a large window seamlessly without light leaks? Especially a window twice the size of the roll?
Have the following professional installed by someone who does car tint windows for the best seamless install.

If you use window cleaner or clear sugary drink (as I've seen suggested here), how do you clean the gel after the shoot?
Truth be told you don't necessarily have to clean The Rosco E-Colour #211 .9 Neutral Density (48 x25' Roll) B&H # ROE211R48 MFR # 102302114825 after a shoot, but if you find that you do, what I suggest is to get the following 2 items. what do you use to tape this to a window?
Gaffers tape or painters/paper tape is the safest answer if it will be out of frame and you are looking to reduce the amount of light coming in the window. If it will be in the frame and your looking for a clean solution you can tape it from the outside to the bevel of the window. If the exterior in inaccessible place a clear sugary drink (sprite) in a spray bottle and spritz the window. Place the cut of ND on the window and squeegee it flat eliminating and bubbles or liquid. The sugar makes it stick as long as you need. When done, remove by peeling and wash the window.I was very skeptical at first if that method but had great success.
