Platinum Tools TCC220 Coax Clarifier Kit with 4 Coax RF Remotes
Key Features
  • Test, ID & Qualify Dark Coax Networks
  • For Video, Surveillance & HD Programming
  • Locate Faults on Cable Runs
  • Determine Lengths of Cable Runs
The Coax Clarifier from Platinum Tools allows you to test, identify, and qualify dark coax networks, which typically give no indication as to their configuration, state of operation, or design. The Coax Clarifier, though, discerns the layouts of such networks with ease, locating faults on cable runs, determining the length of cable runs, and identifying remotes through splitters. With separate wire-mapping sets, you can map the entire coax systems of video, surveillance data, and HD programming, measuring the quality and characterization of any giving network.

Platinum Tools TCC220 Overview

The Coax Clarifier from Platinum Tools allows you to test, identify, and qualify dark coax networks, which typically give no indication as to their configuration, state of operation, or design. The Coax Clarifier, though, discerns the layouts of such networks with ease, locating faults on cable runs, determining the length of cable runs, and identifying remotes through splitters. With separate wire-mapping sets, you can map the entire coax systems of video, surveillance data, and HD programming, measuring the quality and characterization of any giving network.

All discovery, quality, and condition testing is accomplished in this one unit, whose measurement display shows you precise and concise readouts. The unit can map runs using up to four coax RF remotes, or up to 12 ID-only coax remotes for home runs. Four unique tones are provided to distinguish quickly between respective outlets. The unit can run for 20 hours off of four AA alkaline batteries, and, at 12 oz including its batteries, the Coax Clarifier is eminently portable. Included with the device are four Coax remotes, as are various adapters, and an F-Terminator plug to terminate unused connections.

Note:
For best measurement accuracy, the cable network or individual splitter must be properly terminated. Use the included F-Terminator plug accessory to terminate unused connections.
Easy to operate and all-in-one handheld instrument
Test, identify, and qualify dark coax networks
Coax Run Mapping: Maps runs through splitters to show an accurate picture of the coax system layout using up to 4 Coax RF Remotes (included) and up to 12 ID Only Coax Remotes for wire-mapping on home runs
Tests through splitters
Determines cable run length and reports the location of an open or unterminated cable
Displays cable run quality
Detects Coax RF Remotes through splitters
Locates splitters in the system
Tests and grades splitter performance
Measures length of coax cable in feet or meters and measures a single cable length up to 1500' / 457.2m
Measures overall network quality and clearly depicts network reading as both a bar graph and a digital return loss number, measured in dB
Tone generator with selectable tone cadence to easily trace cable runs and Tone Tracing to trace coax runs with 4 unique tones to quickly distinguish between respective outlets
Four AA alkaline batteries included
