The DWS INT 4 Digi-Wave Language Interpretation System from Williams Sound is a portable, wireless system for language interpretation. It is suitable when security, sound quality, and flexibility are critical. This system is designed for small to medium-size conferences, meetings, or other events where 1 language is shared by 2 interpreters. The system can serve up to 25 listeners. This system includes 3 DLT 100 transceivers, 25 DLR 50 receivers, 1 MIC 054 directional lapel microphone, 2 MIC 044 2P headset microphones, 25 EAR 022 earphones, 1 CCS 044 silicone skin, 1 CHG 102 Digi-Wave 2-bay charger, and 1 CCS 042 DW System carry case.
Set up one DLT 100 transceiver as a body-worn transmitter to provide a direct audio feed from the speaker to 2 interpreters. Using the DLR 50s, the audience can also tune in to this channel for hearing assistance (they can toggle back and forth between CH 0 for floor speaker and CH 1 for interpreted language). Interpreters 1 and 2 then use second and third DLT 100s to both listen to the speaker and take turns transmitting their simultaneous interpretation to the audience on a separate channel. The interpreters can work together by spelling each other, interpreting into the same language for long jobs. Each interpreter must toggle on/off by pushing the TALK button, leaving only one TALK button on at any one time.
Additional DLT 100s can be purchased separately to accommodate up to 14 additional languages. Additional DLR 50s can be purchased separately to accommodate additional listeners. It can serve unlimited number of listeners within the recommended range.
