This Bolt CZ2 HV Locking Flash Power Cable allows you to connect compatible battery packs to select Canon flash units and other flashes that use the Canon-type power connection. It features a twist-lock mechanism between the battery pack and the cable to ensure a secure connection and a weather seal between the flash and the cable. This locking mechanism works with both Cyclone DR PP-400DR and Quantum Turbo 3 battery packs; however, the cable will also work with packs that do not feature this mechanism. Additionally, it has a coiled length of 28" and can stretch to 110".

Bolt CZ2 Overview

This Bolt CZ2 HV Locking Flash Power Cable allows you to connect compatible battery packs to select Canon flash units and other flashes that use the Canon-type power connection. It features a twist-lock mechanism between the battery pack and the cable to ensure a secure connection and a weather seal between the flash and the cable. This locking mechanism works with both Cyclone DR PP-400DR and Quantum Turbo 3 battery packs; however, the cable will also work with packs that do not feature this mechanism. Additionally, it has a coiled length of 28" and can stretch to 110".

I have had several of these break/split near the flash or the battery pack during a job. This wire should withstand movement of moving the camera between rest position and eye level. But it does not. I reached out to the manufacturer for a solution but they only sent me a replacement.

I do a lot of focus stacking and needed better recycling time. I use the Godox TT600 flashes and this works perfect with the Godox ProPac. I highly recommend it!

Does the flash connector end of this cord substitute for the hot shoe connector in the flash unit? If I want to use this cord/power pack with my flash, would I used a cold-shoe adapter to mount the flash to a flash bracket?

No, it only supplies power to the flash from the external battery.
