Telmax Pro-IP Overview

The Telmax PRO-IP-EX Universal Tablet & Smartphone Teleprompter features an adjustable universal cradle that supports all tablets and smartphones up to 11.5". For iPads and iPhones, an iOS teleprompting app from Telmax is available as a free download. For Android devices, you can use one of many apps available on Google Play.

The PRO-IP-EX features a durable metal frame, and supports a tripod on the bottom at any point along the full length of the frame, allowing you to find the best position for the weight of your camera. Most camera sizes are supported.

The beamsplitter glass has a trapezoidal design to allow better viewing of scrolling text from an angle. The glass measures 8 x 12" and has a 70/30 transmission/reflection ratio. The back of the glass housing has a 4" circular cutout that supports most lenses.

We have three cameras and I would like to have a prompter on all three but run the same script on all three of them. Will this sync to one ipad?

I can't imagine a way to sync them per se. However, The I can imagine this working in this way: copy the script to the teleprompter app and start the ipads all at the same time. It sounds a little tricky but i probably could be done.

That teleprompter is too small. We recommend a larger teleprompter such as this one. MagiCue Studio 17 Prompter Package with Pro Software B&H # MAQSTUDIO17.

Does this unit still use Velcro to attach the glass to the hood?

We checked the Telmax PRO-IP-EX Universal Tablet & Smartphone Teleprompter which we have on the B&H showroom floor. The Glass is not attached with Velcro. It is built into the shroud housing.

The Telmax teleprompting app is not showing up in the app store. Is there an alternative?

I believe it is still there. If you are outside of the USA this could be the issue and using a VPN service and setting your location to USA would allow you to download it. Yes, a 1/4-20 would work but I don't know if I would say "standard". The thickness of the frame seems to indicate that one needs a longer body for 1/4-20 screw.

My camera, a Sony A6600 is able to pick up reflections on the glass. Is there a way to reduce reflections?

Not an answer; want to thank Bobby. That is exactly the issue I'm having--I hadn't noticed the reflection is the box itself!!! I'm buying gaff tape and covering the entire interior as well. Thank you so much!
