Worth the extra money

I do a lot of photo printing, some of it for clients and some for other photographers. Current printer is a Canon 4-tank dye ink plus a pigment black, 13x19 job. Durability is a key concern, obviously. I've used third party inks for over a decade with very good results, mostly to save money, until lately, when I noticed some fading and decided to run a test, printing the same set of photos with Canon ink and my favorite third party ink. The results have led me to now rely solely on the Canon ink until there are improvements in ink durability (meaning longevity) among the third party supplier. I can't risk having prints for my clients and photog friends fade. The four-star rating is because the OEM ink is so ridiculously expensive. (Note that this same review is posted for the four purchases it was necessary to make in order to get a full set of tanks.)

I print all of my photos for my family scrapbooks on my two Canon Pixma printers. I only use Canon ink and I've never been disappointed in the quality of my printed photos, my Canon printers or B & H.
