The Fujifilm FinePix HS50EXR Digital Camera features a 16 megapixel 1/2" EXR CMOS II sensor and an EXR Processor II image processor to provide high quality imagery and performance throughout the camera system. The combination of these two technologies enables a high sensitivity to ISO 12800, fast continuous shooting up to 11fps, and the integration of EXR Auto to automatically provide optimum shooting settings depending on the scene in which you are photographing. The image sensor also incorporates phase-detection pixels into its design to enable Intelligent Hybrid AF, which provides quick and accurate focusing capabilities through the use of both contrast- and phase-detection methods of acquiring focus. Phase-detection AF also benefits the Full HD 1920 x 1080p video capabilities by offering full-time continuous AF with face tracking while recording movies.

As indicated in the camera's instruction manual on page 95, you would go to to the Setup Menu in the camera's menu system, go to DATE/TIME, then set the date/time as needed. A link to the manual is listed below. http://bit.ly/1fDR9Z9

question

I'm assuming, given that a circular polarizer is listed as an accessory, that the lens doesn't rotate during zoom or focus. Correct?
Asked by: Anonymous
The lens on the Fujifilm FinePix HS50EXR does not rotate when zooming or focusing in the same way that a circular polarizer rotates.

question

this camera says it has an external mic jack for video. I think it also said the size is 2.5. I already have B&H # AUPRO24CM, which is a 3.5 plug. Is there an adapter for this so this mic will work on this camera and also larger Nikon DSLRs?
Asked by: Anonymous
I would recommend the Drift HD 2.5mm to 3.5mm External Microphone Adapter, B&H # DRDADC, to reduce the 3.5mm miniphone connector to 2.5mm connector for use with the Fujifilm FinePix HS50EXR Digital Camera. Nikon DSLR cameras use 3.5mm connectors.

question

Can photos from this camera be transferred directly to an external hard drive (without the use of a computer)? If so, is there a special accessory that is needed? I noticed that some of the newer camcorders have this capability with a USB cable adapter. Would that work here?
Asked by: Anonymous
Unfortunately, the FinePix HS50EXR will not have the ability to transfer images directly to an external hard drive. One device you may want to consider is this: http://bhpho.to/1ieZgN0. This device would allow you to take your camera's memory card and backup the images on it without the need for a computer.
