Does this support all functions on the Sony A7-series of cameras?
This will not work with the A7. Just camcorders that are were made from 2013 and earlier. Their website has the camcorders that are supported and its super limited. Sony discontinued LANC over MULTI around one release cycle after the MULTI connector was released.

can I connect this adapter cable to Sony tripod VCT-80AV and use it on Sony camera FDR-AX53 as camera remote control? Thanks.
The remote on that tripod has an A/V R connection, while the AX53 has a multi-terminal input. This is an A/V - R to Multi-Terminal Adapter and should allow you to connect those two products.

If combined with the VariZoom VZ-AV/LANC LANC Converter, will adapter cable allow me to use the VariZoom VZRL100 Zoom/Record Rocker Controller or any other Lanc remote with the new generation Sony's that have the Multi Terminal, like the Sony HDR-CX330?
Sorry for the delay in answering. While I can't say for sure about every combination of cables and devices, Sony's adapter cables for the Multi Terminal are intended to allow use of LANC devices and this is why I purchased one of these..

Will this adapter allow the Sony RM-AV2 Remote to work with the HDR-CX330, which has the Multi Terminal Input?
I believe you have a winner. I use this cable with my 2 modern Sony camcorders (FDR-AX100 and CX330) and an old-style Sony tripod with the half-moon connector, and it works perfectly.
