Sony VMCUAM2 Reviews

This is just a USB-A to micro-USB cable

You can use a regular USB-A to Micro-USB cable. Connect micro-USB to FDR-AX100 Multi-port and USB-A to the USB port of your PC. Use Picture Motion browser software to transfer the video files to your PC. The regular USB-A to Micro-USB cable works the same way as VMC-UAM2 cable.

question

Will this work with a Sony DCR-TRV350? (Digital 8 Handycam).
Asked by: Anonymous
It should work with an older Sony camera such as that. If you have a Mac computer you could also use a Firewire 4-pin cable and a Thunderbolt adapter.

question

Is that equivalent to an USB 2.0 or 3.0 connection? In other words, what speed do you get?
Asked by: Jaime
USB 2.0. When combined with the network adapter you'll sync at 1gig, but actual streaming rates are much lower. FTP file transfer rates aren't all that fast either. Best bet if moving files is to pull the card and use a computer.
