The MS-2800A 8-Channel HD/SD Mobile Video Studio Bundle from Datavideo is a portable production system for live production and event recording. The mobile studio is centered around the SE-2800 8-channel Switcher and features a TLM-170HM 17.3" LCD Monitor, HDR-70 HDD Recorder, ITC-100 8-User Wired Intercom System with 4 Beltpacks and 4 Headsets, a PD-2 Power Distributor, and a AD-100 Audio Delay Box. The Datavideo SE-2800 broadcast-quality switcher features 8 digital and analog inputs, and can be upgraded to support up to 12 inputs. It is designed for live events and TV programs that need to blend a variety of video and audio sources. It supports resolutions of 1080i 50/60, 576i 50, and 480i 59.94/60. Its small form factor allows the switcher to be rack mounted within the aluminum case, and slide out when ready for use.
Similarly, the TLM-170HM 17.3" LCD monitor also slides out easily on location, and features a 1600 x 900 resolution display which provides a complete visual overview of all 8 input channels. For audio/video synchronization, the AD-100 Audio Delay Box provides delay from 0 to 700ms.
HD recording is achieved via the HDR-70 HDD Recorder. It records NTSC, PAL, and HD video signals and features one SD/HD-SDI video input/output, and two mini-XLR audio inputs/outputs. It records to 2.5" HDD or SSDs via the removable drive caddy. The HDR-70 features selectable color sampling ratio and data rate settings. The front panel buttons provide you local tape deck like control of the unit, with built-in led audio level meters.
During live productions, good communication between the director, cameraman, lighting, and sound mixer is essential. The integrated ITC-100 Intercom System provides talkback for up to 8 users, with additional tally indication for each camera. The director can select to talk to an individual channel or to all channels simultaneously. The system is supplied with four ITC-100SL camera belt packs, each with microphone headset, on camera dual-color tally indicator, and 65.6' cable.
Power is distributed to the mobile studio components via the PD-2 Power Distributor. Providing 400W of steady power, the unit accepts either a 3-prong AC power chord or two 12V 200 W DC power connections. It features four 12 VDC 5A XLR female connectors, and two 12 VDC 10A XLR female connectors. A row of LED indicator lights on the front panel indicate the status of the 7 outputs.

The Datavideo TLM-170HM 17.3" LCD Monitor (1U) delivers high-quality imagery at a resolution up to 1600 x 900 and brightness of up to 380 cd/m². Suitable for program output monitoring during production, the HD-SDI reference monitor can be rack-mounted and consumes 1U rack space.
In addition to safe area mask, the LCD monitor features image adjustment capabilities that allow you to adjust contrast, brightness, and color saturation. An easy addition to most of the Datavideo Mobile Studios, the monitor comes with built-in speakers with volume control and audio meter.
Apart from an audio level indicator, the TLM-170HM 17.3" LCD Monitor also features a mute button for the internal speakers or headphone socket. The unit has a bi-color tally light which indicates live (RED) or cued (AMBER) source. You can set the monitor on stand-by or sleep mode using the stand-by button. Built-in rack-mountable ear mounts are available in 2 different styles for vertical rack mounting.
Front panel buttons allow selection of source input as well as PIP, aspect ratio, blue only, pattern (color bars), menu, and audio controls. You can input HD/SD sources via the rear panel SDI, HDMI, Component (Y, Pb, Pr), S-Video (Y/C) and Composite connections, and you can monitor RCA phono or embedded SDI / HDMI audio.
The DataVideo HDR-70 HDD Recorder for SD/HD-SDI with Removable Drive Bay is a rack mountable video recorder for studio control rooms or video production trucks. It records NTSC, PAL, and HD video signals and features an SD/HD-SDI input and two mini-XLR recording to 2.5" form factor HDD or SSDs in a removable drive caddy. The HDR-70 features selectable color sampling ratio and data rate settings. This compact unit features a small footprint and is made from painted aluminum for strength. The front panel buttons provide you local tape deck like control of the unit, with built-in led audio level meters. The HDR-70 features two XLR inputs and outputs for balanced audio.
The included drive caddy supports available drives (both HDD and SSD) up to 500GB, and once removed from the HDR-70 the enclosures can be connected directly to a computer via the built-in USB 2.0 or eSata interface for off loading or editing directly from the drive. The unit writes to the NTFS file format system, which makes the drive readable by both Mac and Windows systems and avoids the 4GB file size limitation of FAT32 systems. For remote control, the HDR-70 features a 9-pin connector that allows control by RS-232 or RS-422. The unit is powered by 12 volts DC, and the cable connector features a locking collar so the power cable can't be accidentally unplugged.

For inputs, the unit accepts either a 3-prong AC power chord or two 12V 200 W DC power connections. A power button turns the unit off and on, and a power source input select switch allows you to choose either AC or DC. For outputs, the devices features four 12 V 3 A XLR DC female output connectors, two 12 V 5 A DC XLR female connectors, and two 12 V 10 A XLR DC female connectors. A row of LED indicator lights on the front panel indicate the status of the 7 DC outputs.
One of the innovative features of the rack-mountable ITC-100 8-User Wired Intercom System with 4 Beltbacks & 4 Headsets from Datavideo is that it can use headsets ranging from low-cost cell phone headsets to high-quality professional units.
Up to 8 users can be connected to the ITC-100 via PTT wired beltpacks. Four beltpacks, four headsets, four cables and a tally light set are all included. Cables for connecting the beltpacks may be up to 984 ft long, and use 5-pin XLR connectors. The base station features all call and mute buttons, a mic input, built-in speaker, and standard headphone jacks.
