Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect... Problem- stereo receiver has only one optical input and is currently connected to my CD player. My new Samsung LED TV has only one audio-out which is also optical. Can't connect TV to receiver. Solution- Connected the optical cable from TV to the Coaxial Digital Audio Converter and used a coaxial digital audio cable (RCA) to connect to a vacant coaxial input on my receiver. Works Perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Converter, converting. As in the glory days of Age of Empires, this little brick is the veritable priest of audio conversions.I used this to convert an optical signal from my television to a digital coax connection for an old receiver. It worked without complication. It is small, so portability is not an issue. It feels a wee bit weak, but proper placement will safeguard from demise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as advertised I needed to connect my tv optical output to an older receiver with a digital coaxial input. Most I found would not convert the Dolby Digital signal from optical to coax, only digital out from a CD player. This works great and have not had any issues with it. An inexpensive fix that I recommend to anyone in need of this type of conversion device.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from As advertised With an upgrade to my Xfinity X-1 platform, I needed to run digital audio line to my theater room, which already had a digital coax line. The new Comcast box did not have a digital coax out, so I needed a converter from the optical digital output of the Comcast box to my existing coax. This product worked perfectly for this application. had

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works and is an inexpensive solution! Using this converter to go from a Toslink/Optical (only audio OUT) of a newer LG TV to a Coaxial going to a Receiver with a coax IN did the trick to get audio to my stereo from the TV. Great-inexpensive. No so great- nothing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as Expected The device works as expected to connect a newer 4KTV to an older Philips surround speaker system. I didn't notice any sound quality loss either.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't work for connecting my Samsung 4K TV to my stereo Maybe I bought the wrong product, but this doesn't work for that.
