Additional Triggering for V-Drums Kits
The compact BT-1 allows you to incorporate additional triggers into your V-Drum kit without having to add more pads. This gives you access to additional sounds, as well as convenient control of a range of performance features in your V-Drums module or SPD-series percussion pad. You can add additional BT-1s as needed to continuously expand the expressive power of your percussion rig
Incorporate Electronics with Acoustic Drums
The BT-1 also allows you to integrate electronics with your acoustic kit. Unlike large round pads and foot switches, the BT-1 blends with your kit without you having to adjust your setup or playing style. Plug the BT-1 into a trigger input on a V-Drums module or SPD-series percussion pad to access electronic sounds

Roland BT-1 Reviews

A great portable addition to a hybrid drum set!

I like it! I have an acoustic drum set but have wanted additional sounds without hauling additional devices around. I have a cowbell. I want a deeper one as well. I want occasional roto toms, Timbales, electronic toms, chime tree, gong, even bass drum with my hand. I got a footboard pad as well and can play any sound with my module with my left foot, especially snare drum or cowbell. I've just discovered many new possibilities! The BT1 is a perfect size with many mounting possibilities. Since I move it from two drum sets and my practice set, I decided to mount it on a separate stand and it stays in front of my snare drum. It's out of the way unless I want to play it with either hand. So far it seems to be a durable piece of equipment. It's a basic plug it in to a sound module and play it. There are a couple set up adjustments for sound level and sensitivity. I wasn't getting every beat I played on it. But then I got the bright idea to reread setup and found in my module settings a specific BT1 input for sound pad. That put sensitivity and other levels perfect and now I love it! I definitely recommend it!
