Amazing combined with Nikon Speedlights

Technically I believe these are intended to be used for video, but they are the speedlight/strobist's dream come true. I originally found one of these in a local camera store when I was looking at various camera accessories for what I might use with Speedlights on location. These are ideal because they require no tools to attach the Speedlight/stand, they can turn every possible way (very important for Nikon Speedlights that work wirelessly and must be line of sight with the sensor towards the camera to trigger), and these are well constructed. Highly recommend. I have 3 of them so far. The only downside is you can't use an umbrella so I also carry 2 traditional speedlight brackets with the umbrella mount. These are my go-to brackets for my location photoshoots around the country.

The Dot Line Mini-Arm with Shoe-Mount (3.5") does provide a 1/4"-20 that is used to mount the shoe mount.
