A leather flap snaps off the nylon strap to reveal a built-in elastic band that will hold a 30-60mm lens cap. On the underside of the flap is a pocket that will hold an SD memory card. If you drop the camera while it is attached to your wrist, the strap prevents the camera from swinging by tightening instead of bouncing around.
