The silver VR-370 Digital Camera from Olympus is a compact digital camera with a 16MP CCD sensor and the TruePic III+ Image Processor. It will create low-noise, color-accurate photos and clear HD 720p videos. Its 12.5x optical zoom lens is equivalent to a 24-300mm lens in the 35mm format. It provides focal lengths from wide-angle to super-telephoto and offers the possibility to capture images in almost any situation from group shots and interiors to landscapes, action shots and close-up portraits. A 3.0" LCD with 460k-dot resolution is available for composition and image playback and its anti-glare technology makes it possible to view your screen even in bright sunlight.
The VR-370 features a built-in flash, easy to use zoom and menu control, ergonomic grip design , and a dedicated one-touch video button which will switch you from photo mode to video in an instant. An AF Illuminator housed on the camera's front panel aids when shooting with Autofocus at close distances and increases illumination in low-light situations. Dual Image Stabilization also helps when shooting in low light. It combines Sensor-Shift Image Stabilization with High ISO Sensitivity to utilize fast shutter speeds and reduce the effect of camera shake for sharper images in dim light and when shooting at long telephoto focal lengths.
iAuto mode is available to let the camera read your scene and optimally adjust the camera's settings to match that scene. Scene selections include Sunset, Fireworks, Candlelight, Beach and Sport. Face Detection is also a helpful tool which recognizes when you are shooting people and automatically adjusts the camera for the ideal portrait exposure. And AF Tracking will follow a moving subject, like a pet or a child, and constantly adjust focus and exposure so the camera has the correct settings when you are ready to shoot. In addition to these assistive features, the VR-370 provides "Magic Art Filters" which allow you to add special effects to your images like Soft Focus, Watercolor Effect and Fish Eye. There are 10 filters in all and most are also available during video recording. Lastly, the VR-370 offers Beauty Mode which can apply Photoshop-like enhancements to your portraits, softening shadows and smoothing wrinkles. Beauty Make-Up Mode can even whiten teeth and add eye shadow after you have taken the picture.
