Samigon ESA221 reviews

Bamboo Print Tongs (Set of 3) with Rubber Tips is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than plastic! Not much to say, they are tongs. Rubber tips grip paper well, clean up easily and are easily recognized as to which belongs in each chemistry to avoid cross contamination. I'm not sure whether bamboo absorbs chemistry into its grain so if you were to need tongs for other types of chemical processes other than standard B&W processing I would recommend purchasing a separate set or tongs made of another material. If you are only looking to process B&W then I would highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The right product for the right price! I'm an 'old' darkroom guy--but I'm teaching my HS sophomore-daughter- photography--the 'ole fashion way'---she loves using her new tongs---and I do too----service was great--so was product--and shipped in time for me to have a darkroom session with her before she went back to school after break---thank you B & H sooooo much

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very comfortable, very grippy I like these bamboo / rubber tongs much better than steel tongs. They grip fiber paper nicely, don't leave marks, and are comfortable to use for long periods. I have found that the steel ones tend to slide around and fall into the chemicals, especially if you are using them with metal trays.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from K.I.S.S. Keep it simple Samigon Yes, and so they are. Simple, but effective. You'll be glad you have these if you have instead been using your bare fingers to pick up the wet photos soaking in developer, stop and fixer. These last surprisingly long. Always rinse after use and wash with dish soap every once in a while.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't Like Them Work great but after about 2 weeks the bamboo started turning black. Might have been because I was cleaning them throughly enough but they weren't exactly soaking in chemicals either, so they shouldn't have needed to be taken care of so much. I prefer plastic definitely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best ever! I have been printing heavily in the darkroom since 1977, and these are the best tongs I have ever used. They are the easiest to grip and do not break like the plastic ones.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good classic tongs these are the classic bamboo tongs, with thinner ends so they hold prints well. Some of the newer or off brands have thicker rubber that are more difficult to work with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must Have! These are necessary for printing so you don't have to use your fingers to move your print from tray to tray. They have a good grip and dry easily.
