I have had this item for over a decade, it was the time I shot 35mm primarily, and I could squeegee those thin bands of plastic with my fingers. But then I got into medium and large format, and I started doing my own C41 processing. I use this item after the stabilizer bath (that I mix with a drop of photo-flo) to minimize the stains and stab run marks. It works great! The rubber is soft and wide enough to do both 35mm and 120, for 4x5, I do it in halves. Squeegee the left half and then the right half, and you are good to hang them up.
