The 17" Laptop Backpack from Case Logic has a dedicated 3/4 zippered laptop compartment. There's an additional zippered storage compartment for books, files, folders and other collateral material. A front zippered organizer panel is for your small items. In front of the organizer is a vertical zippered Speed Pocket for your valuables (watch, keys, phone) that will make it easier to go through airport security. There's a mesh water bottle pocket on the side of the pack. The 17" Laptop Backpack is made from Dobby (woven) nylon. It's carried by adjustable pack straps or its top grab handle.

Case Logic VNB-217 Overview

At the university where I work, the IT department gives every student a backpack at the beginning of their first semester. I have been selecting and purchasing these backpacks for eight years. As I have interacted with hundreds of students, I have found that they want a good looking, comfortable, lightweight backpack with lots of space for books, and a convenient place for pen, calculator, phone (and other electronic devices), water bottle, etc. From my perspective, the backpack must be durable and provide a safe place to carry a laptop. This backpack meets all of these requirements. Every year I do extensive online research to select a backpack. Every year, I feel that I have selected a better packpack than the year before. I found and ordered this backpack last year. This year, I couldn't find anything better, and based on 12 months of experience, I was confident to purchase the same backpack again. This is a great backpack.

The backpack has an amazing amount of room. I have a 17inch laptop and it fits EASILY with plenty of room for accessories yet doesn't look bulky. I do not need to transport my laptop very often however I really like the backpack when I do. Makes my big laptap seem managable.

I purchased this as a gift for my son who is a college student. He is very happy because for hadn't been able to find anything into which his new laptop would fit. He also has room for his books which pleases him very much.
