question

I'm planning a shoot that is involved with painting, and more important - SPRAY painting. I thought about getting this rain slicker to cover the camera from haze of paint. I can see that there is a window on the SIDE of the lens, but is there a window covering the FRONT of the lens itself (somewhat like a scuba diving case), or is it completely exposed? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

There is no cover for the front of the lens. I would actually advice against buying this. It makes the camera very hard to operate.

question

I use Zeiss Compact Prime Lenses with this camera. Will the rain cover protect my CP lenses?
Asked by: Anonymous
While not my favorite rain slicker by any means, it did ultimately protect the camera completely and only the front of the lenses got wet (and the UV filter took care of that). The only lens I used that extended long enough to barely peek out beyond the cover was the Canon EF 70-200mm IS F2.8. Everything else I used sat well back from the front and even the filters rarely got wet.
