The 2RU RACKDP-50 4-Channel Amplifier with DSP & Networking from Turbosound contains four 1250W channels for Class-D amplifiers. It features full system monitoring (including 'end of line') and a USB or network controlled 24 bit 96 kHz DSP processing platform. This unit is a total power output of 5000W, it has variable speed fans, and a switching power supply. The mains supply voltage detection makes the unit suitable for global operation without requiring any reconfiguration. Each pair of channels contains a complete 96 kHz digital loudspeaker management and control subsystem, containing a floating point SHARC based DSP engine.
You can manipulate the DSP parameters to optimize performance and develop user settings via the PC connection. These settings are stored, which enables certain RACKDP-50 operations without requiring a PC. The RACKDP-50 can recall different settings (voices) via the rear panel auxiliary port, useful in voice evacuation applications where it may be required to mute the current source of audio, switch to an alternate input carrying an evacuation message and broadcast it with different level and EQ settings.
The RACKDP-50 is networkable, and the TURBOSOUND TurboDrive PC application provides real-time control and monitoring functions for either single units or whole networks of products, PC connection being made either directly via USB or BVNet.
The networked amplifiers and TurboDrive also allow important system parameters, such as load impedance, to be monitored and displayed. The microprocessor controlled amplifier protection systems continuously monitor all aspects of performance and under extreme or abusive conditions the RACKDP-50 will progressively decrease the audio level while endeavoring to find a stable operating level. Even without a PC connection, the RACKDP-50 continuously records logs against time for the temperature readings, and the state of amplifier protection for up to three days into the past. These may be viewed at any time and their data can even be exported to a spreadsheet for further analysis.
