The M-Patch V2 from SM Pro Audio is a monitor controller and speaker switcher that utilizes passive attenuation designed to deliver uncolored audio signal to your monitor speakers for your home or professional studio.
The M-Patch V2 allows for the connection of 2 sets of monitor speakers via 2 sets of balanced XLR stereo outputs. These outputs can be connected directly to your active monitor speakers, or to a power amp and passive speakers. Each set of speakers can be switched between using the output selection buttons that include LEDs that illuminate when active.
The M-Patch V2 also allows you to connect 2 stereo input sources via main stereo and aux inputs. The main stereo channel features XLR-1/4" balanced/unbalanced combo jack inputs that can be connected to your main audio source such as an I/O interface or multi-track recorder. The aux channel has 2 separate inputs that include one set of L&R RCA jacks and one stereo 3.5mm mini jack. These inputs can come in handy for connecting secondary audio sources such as CD players or your computer's internal sound card. Furthermore, the main stereo and aux channels can be attenuated independently and switched between. This can be useful when mixing for quick A/B switching between your main mix versus one or more reference tracks.
