Does the job!

In terms of pop mitigation, I'm completely satisfied. I love that the clamps can secure the pop filter to a wide range of surfaces. But be aware that the clamps are made of plastic and seem like they could break easily. They're are inexpensive for a reason.

Meh!

As the most purchased pop filter I thought it'd be better quality, because BH customers seem to be more working in the industry types rather than kids trying to record themselves gaming in their basement. I was disappointed that this was so well rated and highly purchased. The metal neck is quality but the clamp is a cheap piece of plastic that feels ready to break at any second. When you want to position the filter, you should be able to move the neck without breaking the clamp, but because the clamp is plastic and the neck is metal, you have to hold down the clamp and then gently position the neck. Bottom Line: If you're on a budget, it would work, but if you consider yourself a real musician don't waste your time on cheap junk made for kids that think they could be the next big Youtuber.

Will this help with sibilance? The hissing sound emitted from the letter s?
Asked by: Alyssa
No. The PFSS-55 pop filter reduces noise created by plosives that occur with P, B, and T sounds. You can try adjusting the EQ to help reduce high-pitched hisses from S sounds.

Does the gooseneck unscrew from the included clamp. If so, what kind of threading is on the end of the gooseneck? Thanks in advance for your time!
Asked by: Peter
Yes, the gooseneck can be separated from the clamp. The manufacturer has not provided a spec for the thread size of the gooseneck since it was not intended to be used without the clamp.

question

Are these filters an advantage for speech also, or mainly singing? I never see them at speeches - only studios. Although, sometimes there is a foam filter over the mic..
Asked by: Nesanel
This gooseneck filter is invaluable for speaking AND singing. Plosively popping Ps are particularly problemeatic without this piece in place. (Say that out loud and you'll see what I mean.) The foam and fur covers are for moving air surrounding the mic -- the wind outside or drafty interiors. I'm generalizing here, and sometime to super-isolate the mic I'll use both, with the addition of a foam backscreen or gobo. You lose a tiny bit of high end sometimes but there's no substitute for keeping air from blasting into the mic and ruining the sound.
