    Matrox T2G-DP3D-IF reviews

TripleHead2Go Digital SE External Adapter is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from purpose built and limited funcionality Aside from the fact that it died (would not power up, would not pass signal) after an hour, it is very specifically built to do one thing: screen spanning. It isn't for trying to assign different content to different outputs of your choice. The computer will only ever see it as one huge rectangle and you can only provide it content as such. At least that's what out Ma ini did. If you use it for ProPresenter, be prepared for it to work well AFTER you buy the two hundred dollar plug-in for their software. It is a solid tool if you want to do exactly what it is meant to do, hence three stars (minus two for it dying and not being as customizable as anticipated).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No analog output I bought this card because I wanted to connect it directly to my macbook pro via thunderbolt without the need for adapters. However, it didn't work the first time I tried to used, because this particular model supports ONLY DIGITAL output. In other words, there cannot be any adapters to VGA in any part of your setup. This is important to me because I usually work with other people's projectors, and I can't always use HDMI or DVI cabling. When I can't be close to the projector (in vjing or videomapping perfomances), the standard is analog signal, for it allows the use of longer cables without distortion of signal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what its made for My company here in toronto does video mapping and video walls and such other services and we have a ton of Matrox Products from their GPU's to their external modules such as this. Cant go wrong with matrox

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works when it does. We use the TH2G Digital SE for triple-wide projection in our main auditorium. It took about 3 weeks to figure out it would NOT work with our desired setup: iMac -> SDI converter -> ATEM video switcher. The TH2G for some reason (undocumented and unknown) doesn't work with AMD/ATI Radeon graphics based Apple computers. The NVidia and Intel (as long as not Intel HD 4000) based Apple computers worked just fine with the TH2G to our SDI converters into our video switcher.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The models are confusing. There are 3 variations of the Matrox triplehead2go and though i did my research I still ended up with the wrong product and i am in the AV industry. I purchased the Digital SE edition and it came with Display port connections. I understood it was HDMI and even though i got an adaptor it still would not work. This needs to be explained CLEARLY so as not to create confusion.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does exactly as it should I work making and delivering multi-screen presentations for large conferences and this functioned exactly as expected. There are more expensive solutions that are more robust for this type of work, but for the price there is nothing comparable. (The more expensive solutions give you finer control when using with high end video switchers such as spyder or encore) You should take a very close look at the Mattrox website to check specifications so there are no surprises.I easily managed to get a 3x1080 output from a new model retina macbook pro. (I would strongly suggest using one with a discrete graphics card) For my use, it has been extremely reliable, but I always work with a full backup system running in tandem. You should be aware of the necessary performance issues when using applications like keynote, adding and animating very high-resolution images or videos will always start to slow things down. I was able to run 4K videos across all screens using h264.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Flight Simulator I have just set up a home flight simulator and by using a Matrox TriplreHead2Go I can drive three 1920 x 1080 displays in extended mode for scenery from one display port which leaves the remaining PC video Card ports for a Flight panel display and touch screen. The result is amazing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great card, with some design flaws Great little external video card. Only issue that may occur to some users is that you would need to make sure that the DVI cable end is not too wide. When in stalling 3 screens, the DVI ends May be to large to fit side by side being directly plugged into the box.
