You can put the optical quality and magnifying power of a binocular to use as a telephoto lens for your iPhone with the HookUpz Digiscoping Adapter for iPhone 4/4s/5/5s/SE from Carson. The adapter is designed for full-sized binoculars (those with objective lenses from 32mm to 50mm). Simply slip the phone into the included case and place the ring around the phone's camera lens over either of your binocular's eyepieces. The adapter comes with two rings and fits most eyepieces with an outside diameter between 40mm and 44mm.

good for the price, but could be improve
Works good on both my 10x40 Pentax and 10x42 Swarovski binoculars. Have to use a pad and felt insert to make the iPhone 4S fit properly - this is included. The included rubber sleeve is only for the iPhone 5. The unit covers over the volume button you your phone when in use. This is an issue since the volume down button is a very convenient trigger for your camera's shutter button. This seems like it could easily have been fixed in the design. Works a lot better than trying to hold your phone up to your binoculars. I will use it on trips where carrying my large DSLR and telephoto lens is not practical.

Adaptable Adapter
This amazingly adaptable digiscoping adapter fits both my iPod and my Kowa scope. It most probaby can be adapted to other optics as well. Morover, it is economical as well, considering that similar adapters sell for 5 times as much. Recommende without reservation. Works best with a bluetooth shutter release for the IPhone or IPod.

Hookup your iPhone 5
Ordered the IB-542 HookUpz iPhone 5 digiscoping adapter for use with my Zeiss 45/10 binoculars. While they work well enough with the Zeiss, I decided to try it with my Kowa kowa tsn 823m prominar. OMG! I unscrewed the eye cup from my 20-60 power eye piece, and used the thickest plastic band on the adapter. I am in digiscoping heaven. At long last I can take fantastic wildlife/birding photos. I hold a dark towel over my head & iPhone so the sun doesn't bleach out the iPhone screen. This product is the best $ I ever spent in my life.

Best way to try digiscoping
I love this thing. I had never tried digiscoping before and the Carson HookUpz were the perfect product at the perfect price to try it out. Now I'm obsessed and I have purchased several scopes to use it on. The only problem I have had is with the case not staying well-connected to the scope or binoculars. If the cup was deeper or if there was a way to better attach the phone/case to the binoculars this product would be perfect.

Very satisfied in Tucson Arizona
This product turned my smartphone into a powerful tool after I combined it with my leupold spotting scope. It took seconds to attach right out of the box and I was taking long range photos right away. The pitures came out crisp and clear, I'm very happy with this digiscope adaptor.

You Get What You Pay For
This cheap digiscope adapter says it fits 32mm-50mm. Unfortunately it only come swith two rubber rings that are about 38mm and 45mm. They are far from custom fitting for sizes in between. The eyecup also places the lens of the phone VERY far away from the lens of the scope/binocular. As a result, the area viewable through the scope is a fraction of the viewing field of the camera.

I didn't expect much for this price point; however, this product has worked extremely well. It allows me to take quick, decent pictures for wildlife in my backyard.
