The Razer BlackShark Expert 2.0 Gaming Headset features a detachable boom microphone and dual 40mm neodymium drivers with copper-clad aluminum voice coils. The detachable boom mic allows the headset to be used for both gaming and mobile music playback. You can use the headset with a variety of devices including most smartphones and tablets, most Ultrabooks, the Macbook Pro, etc. Plus, thanks to the included audio/mic splitter adapter extension cable, you can also use the BlackShark with any devices that feature separate audio and mic jacks. Other features include a sound-isolating circumaural ear cup design, memory foam leatherette ear cushions for all-day comfort and a unique design that's based on actual military helicopter headsets.
Based on Military Helicopter Headset Designs
The design of the Razer BlackShark was inspired by aviator headsets worn by attack helicopter pilots. They provide the comfort needed to endure extended mission times and superior sound isolation for absolute command-clarity in the most frenzied situations.
Sound Isolation for Distraction-Free Gaming & Music Playback
With the circumaural design and leatherette sealant of the headset's ear cups, you'll be able to block out all unwanted ambient noise so you only hear the audio of your games and music.
Dual Use for Gaming & Mobile Music Playback
The Razer BlackShark's detachable boom microphone makes this a highly versatile headset. You can use it for a gaming headset at home and for music playback when you're on-the-go. Plus, the combined audio/mic cable works with most portable audio/mobile/computing devices including iPod, iPhone, iPad, Kindle Fire, Android phones, Razer Blade, Macbook Pro and most Ultrabooks. The included audio/mic splitter extension cable also lets you use the combined audio/mic capabilities of the Razer BlackShark on computers that use separate 1/8" (3.5mm) ports for audio output and microphone input.
