Sunwayfoto DDC-26 Reviews
Not enough threading
By Mike
Rated 3 out of 5

Another reviewer mentioned it, but the clamp seemed great except for the cross shaped cut-out on the bottom. Due to that, my tripod head could only thread a half turn. I returned it because I was concerned that I'd loosen it off when adjusting my camera on accident.
recessed screw hole caused issue

Seems like a nice little clamp, would have suited my needs well, but on the bottom, there is a cross shaped cutout surrounding the recessed screw hole, which only allows a camera straps screw in connector to just hold on by one full turn, which is not a comfortable amount to hang an expensive camera from, so I will unfortunately have to return it and find a more suitable model. Otherwise the item seemed great.

question
Is it compatible with Sunwayfoto DP-26? Do you a photo with this two assembled? Is this a good choice to use a small snapshot (Nikon aw120)? or do you have a better one? (the plate and the base)Thanks
Yes, the Sunwayfoto DDC-26 Mini Screw-Knob Clamp is compatible with the Sunwayfoto DP-26. Unfortunately, we do not have an image with the two items assembled. These two products will be a great choice for a compact camera system such as the Nikon AW120.

Is it compatible with Sunwayfoto CR-30C ?
Is it compatible with Sunwayfoto CR-30C ?
The Sunwayfoto DDC-26 Mini Screw-Knob Clamp is not directly compatible with
the Sunwayfoto CR-30C. The CR-30C already features an Arca compatible mount.
If one wanted to mount a camera using the the DDC-26, one could mount it onto the 1/4 20 male connector on a small Arca compatable quick release plate that would mount onto the Sunwayfoto CR-30C quick release clamp.

question
Two questions, really:1. Bill in GA wrote: It's being used to attach a Black Rapid strap to the camera so I can switch quickly from hand held to tripod. That sounds like precisely what I'd like to do, but I'm not actually sure I follow HOW this product helps Bill achieve that goal. How does the BlackRapid fastener fit into this equation, for instance? What am I missing..?2. I'm also planning on buying this clamp to replace the mini arca quick-release system on my MeFoto DayTrip tripod, in order to have consistent quick-release plates on all my tripods. So really, I'm just deciding whether I should buy one or two of these little guys. But I'd love to know if my plan for adapting my MeFoto tripod head won't work for any reason. Thanks!
I believe Bill is using this clamp to connect to his camera plate when hand carrying. In that scenario, the Black Rapid strap fastener is connected to this plate. Either when hand carrying or on the tripod he is using an Arca Swiss system and does not need to remove his camera plate. The camera plate connects to this clamp when carrying with his Black Rapid strap and connects to his tripod clamp when using the tripod.

question
Can I screw the clamp to a tripod with 1/4 male thread? For example, Manfrotto PIXI Mini.
You could using an adapter. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/101501-REG/ By the way, be careful putting too much weight on the pixi. It cant take much weight.
